Accelerating Your Success
My mind has been recently focused on accelerating of success and its key components. On the flip side, what are the things that decelerate success or just flat out create barriers to success? It is a big subject with a lot of components. Kind of like a car I reckon, you can go faster than walking with some component, faster than you can sprint with more. With standard production model components, you can get to Raleigh & back at a pace that was unimaginable 100 years ago. Of course, if you get specialists that build a high performing race worthy vehicle, you can drive at exponentially greater speeds.
Building an exceptionally great business has a lot of the same parallels. Some business owners just putt along, others get to a comfortable pace and cruise, some shouldn’t be ‘on the road’, a few are in the ‘wrong vehicle’ and there are the exceptions that grow and improve at a rapid continual pace. As time goes on they grow more and more. They pass so many of their competitors that have decided that they can’t handle business at a higher level. Some of those competitors have made the decision “not to bother” with accelerated business and personal growth. Most make excuses about why it can’t be done while they are being passed up by someone that is doing it.
By the nature of my work, I am immersed in the environment of the exceptional progressive business owners that are committed to achieving their goals and dreams at an accelerated rate. Why on earth would you hire a high-performance business owner coach if you don’t have that level of commitment?
I have started doing a series of interviews with some of these exceptional business owners. I have titled the series “Coach Reggie’s All-Star’s”. It is a long form interview with a few of my most successful business owners that I have worked with intensely for several years. Our work together has produced some incredible results and they have lessons and experiences that would be helpful to anyone that has the ambition to grow and improve their business. Each interview is packed with success stories, challenges that they worked through and lessons learned along the way. I want to share these stories with you so that you will get the learnings that you need to accelerate your own business success. I like this long and in-depth format because it allows you to catch details that quicker ‘bullet point’ formats usually miss.
I am going to start out with a video interview that I did with the client that has been with me the longest. Gretchen & I have been working together for 12 years. When she first came to me, she was a solo practitioner that did about 50k in sales working from home. Fast forward to today and she has 3 locations, 18 employees, and is just shy of 1m in sales. Her story is nothing short of amazing and there are a lot of things that can be learned from her journey.
